Alabama Mayors Leading for Young Children

The Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education and the Alabama League of Municipalities invites all Alabama Mayors to participate in Alabama Mayors Leading for Young Children, a series of virtual convenings focused on mayoral leadership in early childhood education.

These events are organized in collaboration with the Hunt Institute. Across three sessions, we will discuss the latest research in brain science, and learn why Alabama is a national leader in early childhood education. Mayors from across the nation will join us to share how they are leading on early childhood. Peer-to-peer conversations will highlight opportunities to advocate for the young children in your community. We will see how investing in our youngest citizens provides a strong return for strengthening our economy.
